Open Access Policy

Management Analytics Letters (MAL) is a fully open access journal. All published content is available online immediately upon publication, free of charge to readers and their institutions. MAL does not place any embargoes on access and does not require readers to register, subscribe, or request permission to read the full text of articles. MAL follows the accepted open access principle that the copyright holder grants usage rights to others through an open license, enabling immediate, free access and broad reuse. In practice, this means that users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and crawl the full texts of MAL articles, and may use them for other lawful purposes, in line with the license terms.

All MAL articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0). Under CC BY 4.0, readers may reuse, share, and adapt the work for any purpose, provided that appropriate attribution is given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the license is provided, and any changes (if made) are indicated. MAL does not apply additional reuse restrictions beyond the CC BY 4.0 terms.

Authors retain copyright in their work and grant MAL a non-exclusive right of first publication and distribution of the article under the stated open license. License information is displayed on the article landing page and is included within the article full text (PDF/HTML) where applicable. If an article includes third-party material (e.g., images, figures, datasets) not covered by the CC BY 4.0, this will be clearly identified within the article with the applicable rights statement.

MAL supports the long-term accessibility of open access content through recognized digital preservation arrangements and persistent identifiers. The journal assigns persistent identifiers (e.g., DOIs where applicable) and maintains archiving/preservation mechanisms to ensure ongoing availability of published scholarship.
